FAQs

  • The Sigsense platform quantifies your machine operations through a power monitor. These monitors are completely non-invasive and can be installed similar to a power-strip or surge protector. Each power monitor fully quantifies machine operation, and requires no additional interface into the device or any IT system.

Once in the cloud, data is associated with the instrument and the power readings are translated into usage, waste, and condition information which powers Alerting, Web Dashboards and Mobile Applications.

  • The platform never accesses any sensitive data like the outcome of a particular test or any other information derived from a LIMS or patient management system. That’s in large part why the Sigsense platform is relied upon by Major Pharmaceutical and Clinical Laboratories, and trusted by some of the largest companies in the world.

All data transmitted from our platform to the cloud undergoes a highly secure 128-bit encryption process. It can also fully operate on an isolated network to further ensure no risk to any IT systems. And the only information shared pertains to instrument behaviors. Sensitive information like sample data is never even touched.

  • Sigsense AI interprets power similar to how an AI assistant (like an Alexa or Google Home) interprets your voice. It works by analyzing the small changes in power draw to glean what is being done, what idle states and disruptions are taking place, when issues arise and where they’re located, and to track equipment condition.

  • Connecting the platform to your equipment is a fast and simple process. Each instrument is plugged in to our power monitor unit, then the power monitor unit is plugged in to the outlet and connected to the comm module. The last step is to connect the comm module to the internet via the Sigsense app. The whole sequence usually takes no more than 5-10 minutes per instrument.
